Definition of MASWE

The Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators (MASWE) is a collective of professionals dedicated to advancing social work education, research, and practice in Maharashtra. Rooted in democratic values and humanitarian philosophy, MASWE upholds the centrality of human relationships and dignity in professional social work.

In the Indian context, social work as a profession draws strength from indigenous wisdom, constitutional commitments to equality, social justice, and human rights, alongside a robust scientific knowledge base.
