TRAVAILS OF MASWE

The Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators (MASWE) has emerged as a widely recognized professional body after years of struggle and advocacy for justice, equality, and better working conditions for the teaching and non-teaching staff of social work colleges in Maharashtra. Initially, these staff members faced severe disparities compared to their counterparts in Arts, Commerce, and Science colleges, including the lack of pension, gratuity, medical benefits, and promotions. MASWE’s journey was marked by overcoming apathy and uniting its members to fight against systemic discrimination.
