The Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators (MASWE) is a prominent state-level organization in India, dedicated to enhancing the standards of social work education and advocating for the rights and welfare of social work educators and staff. Established on September 5, 1993, under the leadership of Prof. A.Y. Mohite in Nagpur, MASWE has been instrumental in addressing disparities faced by teaching and non-teaching staff in social work colleges across Maharashtra.

Recent Initiatives
In January 2025, MASWE hosted a national conference titled “Republic India @75 and Beyond” in Nagpur, marking its 30th anniversary. The event featured esteemed speakers, including Dr. Pramod Sawant, and focused on the progress and future of the nation.
